Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) and Voluntary Life
SC provides company-paid Basic Life and AD&D coverage equal to two times your base annual salary, up to a maximum of $1,000,000. Both employer-paid and associate-paid life insurance benefits become effective the first date of the month following 90 days of full-time employment. Voluntary employee coverage as well as spouse and dependent coverage are also available.
- Supplemental Associate Life in increments of $10,000 up to $500,000. Upon initial enrollment, you are guaranteed coverage up to a maximum of $350,000. Amounts above this will require Evidence of Insurability (EOI). If you previously declined coverage and wish to enroll during open enrollment, the entire elected amount would require EOI.
- Supplemental Spouse Life in increments of $10,000 up to $150,000, not to exceed 50% of the associate amount of supplemental life coverage. Upon initial enrollment, your spouse is guaranteed coverage up to $30,000. Amounts above this will require Evidence of Insurability.
- Supplemental Child Life in increments of $5,000, up to a maximum of $10,000. Benefits are limited to $100 for infants under the age of 6 months. Election of Supplemental Associate Life is required to elect spouse or child life
Company-Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
It is important to have a continuing source of income to protect you and your family during periods of extended illness/injury. SC provides company-paid short-term and long-term disability benefits, effective on the first day of the month following 12 months of full-time employment.
