Summary of Responsibilities:

The Model Governance Analyst – Risk III provides model governance support for a variety of model development and business analytics projects, including model inventory management, model governance project management, model development working group and milestone meetings, ongoing model performance, validation, audit, and action items monitoring.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and updates a firmwide model inventory within SharePoint utilized by the department
  • Provides model governance guidance related to model development throughout the model development lifecycle
  • Facilitate and support the internal audit, regulatory exam, and internal controls
  • Assists in maintaining versioning of all model governance documents throughout the development lifecycle
  • Maintains the Model Development team’s SharePoint for intradepartmental usage and reference
  • Performs ad hoc requests, including documentation preparation, project planning and various types of deliverables, such as end-user documentation, internal documents, meeting agendas and minutes, presentations, reports, and e-forms
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the firm’s operations and business model

  • Educational Level
    • Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Operations Research
  • Industry Experience
    • Minimum four (4) to six (6) years of model governance, project management, internal control, or internal audit experience. Model governance is preferred
    • Familiarity with statistical modeling in finance industry preferred but not required
    • Prior working experience in financial industry required
  • Computer skills
    • Expert use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
  • Travel to multiple facilities may be required
  • May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard
  • Corporate office role
