Job Family: Finance

The Finance organization is responsible for leading and participating in a number of critical functions including: supporting executive management decisions making by analyzing results, assessing strategic alternatives and developing strategic plans; communicating financial results and forecasts with critical stakeholders, including executive management and Board of Directors, shareholders and regulators; managing the Company’s balance sheet, including interest rate and liquidity risks; establishes the Company’s capital policies and prioritizes investments; develops and implements controls to reduce operational risk; developing and maintaining financial data and systems. The Finance organization works across functions and Business lines in the Company, requiring a broad understanding of our business, risk and strategy.

Job Function: Treasury

Manages and analyzes cash funds, debt, capital and interest rate risk on behalf of the company. Formulates and updates policies and guidelines on the planning and management of the company’s monetary resources. Ensures optimization of income and proper investments. Plans and sources cash requirements.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Associate, Treasury executes on and improves on the day-to-day operations in (Asset-Liability Management, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, Cash Management, Investment Portfolio Management, Cash-Management, Capital Planning and Recovery & Resolution). The incumbent provides support for complex analysis and projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Day-to-day execution of analyzing, reporting and mitigating a component of (liquidity risk, market risk, interest-rate risk, Capital Management Processes).
  • Validate the accuracy of internal reporting of financial and operational data.
  • Perform variance and forecasting analysis of key financial data.
  • Ensure adherence to established standards and risk limits.
  • Contribute to a strong internal control environment.
  • Ensures treasury policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Other Functions:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other project managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education –
    • Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent field.
  • Experience –
    • 5-9 years Banking/Financial Industry

    • Experience in (Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Cash Management, Captial Management, Capital Allocation, Recovery & Resolution, Interest-Rate Risk Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Cash Management, Investment Portfolio Management, Balance-Sheet Management, Debt Capital Markets).
    • Knowledge of industry practice (Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Cash Management, Captial Management, Capital Allocation, Recovery & resolution, Interest-Rate Risk Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Investment Portfolio Management, Balance-Sheet Management, Debt Capital Markets).

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently: Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
