Purpose Statement

The Specialist, Systems Operations supports and maintains the Company's core banking system and all applications that interface with it. In addition, s/he assists the Manager with the management of projects and can act as a back-up on projects. The incumbent assists with the deployment and maintenance of these connections, including but not limited to project management, configuration, testing, and documentation. The Specialist, Systems Operations troubleshoots software if conflicts arise, and works closely with the Manager to make sure all core applications are well maintained.

Responsibility Statements

Assists with managing Core banking data; keeps informed of all system updates etc.

Works closely with the Project Manager on new and upgraded software applications that integrate with the Bank’s Core system.

Monitors daily production of assigned applications and track issues requiring support.

Manages the software administration function which provisions access to banking systems, internal, and external applications.

Troubleshoots software if conflicts arise and make the necessary modifications.

Extracts data, format and run reports, or perform specific analytical functions using the Bank’s core system and related applications.

Assists with software configuration and administration on software applications that integrate with the Bank’s Core system.

Works continuously on a task/project until completion.

Sets up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
