Summary of Responsibilities:

The Consultant, Talent Management uses a blend of creativity and data-driven decision-making to analyze, identify consult and, coordinate programs / initiatives that deliver results across the business.  S/he contributes to efforts that will activate and bring to life the global employee experience. Uses data to drive evidence based decision-making to design and implement solutions with key stakeholders. The Consultant, Talent Management is seen as a subject matter expert in the area of Talent Management (succession planning, talent reviews, performance management programs, employee engagement) and mentors and guides other team members.

Essential Functions:

Collaborates with key stakeholders in the consulting of  the design, development and project management of talent development programs and initiatives.

Develops communication and change management plans in support of Talent Management Programs.

Implements/executes talent development strategy aimed at strengthening the leadership bench for a specific division.

Provides support to various teams and departments by aligning solutions and resources to drive and sustain strategic direction.

Manages, coordinates and implements processes for talent management, coaches and partners with HR and line in how to successfully execute these processes and initiatives to ensure long term impact;

Proactively supports strategic organizational needs such as Succession Planning and Talent Strategy.

Positions Talent Development as a strategic business partner by understanding the overall organizational strategy.

Provides research and benchmarking support and maintains a network of vendors and colleagues to enhance and sustain initiatives and goals.

Supports talent management efforts by consulting with management on requirements and organization structure.

Identifies learning opportunities and individual executive coaching needs; collaborates with Learning & Development to plan and deliver the targeted services.

Plans, organizes, facilitates, and acquires necessary resources and materials for leadership development training.

Facilitates briefings for leaders on topics that pertain to leadership, developing bench strength and performance management.

Other Functions:

Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other project managers.

Education –

Bachelor’s Degree: in Organizational Development, Communications, Education, Business Administration, Human Relations or a equivalent field.

Experience –

5-9 years in same or similar role.

Skills & Abilities –

Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality

Experience with program implementation and design preferred

Progressive ability to work collaboratively on a team and build strong relationship and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated leadership skills in terms of team member motivation, visibility, and mentoring skills

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle and deliver multiple projects with aggressive implementation deadlines

Demonstrated success in planning and executing HR programs

Excellent consulting, client management, conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Solid decision-making skills, is able perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality

Strong organizational, presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

Licenses & Certifications –

Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP).

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently: Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
